2021 Annual Report

Powered by volunteers, donors, advocates, partners and supporters like you, we truly were unstoppable in our fight for the health of moms and babies in 2021. The March of Dimes code of ethics commits the organization to a standard of accountability and transparency to the public. We communicate with our supporters, donors and prospective donors by email, regular mail, phone and other means, both to request contributions to our cause and to educate the public about preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality, volunteer opportunities and awareness and fundraising events in local communities throughout the United States.

These efforts help advance our mission to lead the fight for the health of moms and babies by educating women of childbearing age, their relatives and those who support them during pregnancy. As a result, in accordance with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidance, March of Dimes allocates a portion of our fundraising costs to program services. As a nonprofit organization that is exempt from federal taxation, we ensure our donors’ money is spent as efficiently and effectively as possible. If you have any information related to material issues or improprieties that should be brought to our attention, please call our 24-hour hotline: 1-800-826-6762.
